The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority has banned a number of DJI drones from flights over human beings as investigations are carried out into the cause of some models falling out of the sky.

How safe in nowadays invest in aerial photo/video is that stuff happens?

In the UK Civil Aviation Authority regulations drones are not supposed to be flown over people anyway.

Such flights can be authorised by the CAA to qualified operators, so it reads like a 'recall' of authorised flights and a reminder that such flights need to be approved by the CAA.
