Fuji XT on/off switch

Recommended Posts

The on / off button is getting increasingly difficult to move on my XT1, esp in the cold.

Anyone experienced similar or can suggest a remedy ?

thanks

Geoff

No problem with my earlyish X-T1. But  last autumn (when X-T2 arrived) I did get my X-T1 serviced by Fuji in UK for £140 all in with a new 12 month warranty. Mine had new covering, new connector and card doors and a general clean so I thought it was good value on a well used 2 year old camera. Geoff, I am assuming your X-T1 is out of warranty otherwise just contact Fuji.

i have the same issue Geoff, thought i had damaged it til i tried another in the shop. tried to blow round it, to see if it was sand / dust bust still find it had sometimes, i personally think they didnt put enough grip on the switch to get a good grip on it, but i do have big hands lol.

I saw a suggestion elsewhere to try dental floss to get into the crannies, so I'll give that a try.

I may add a bit of lubricant to the floss.

It's a pain cos it's stiffer in the cold weather, which is also when you don't want to have to de-glove to fiddle with it.
