AlbertSnapper
Reuters has very strict rules about post processing and journalists have been sacked for transgressing them (I believe). This may be of interest....from 2006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/5254838.stm Exactly my point. Why risk one's reputation for such trivial reasons? Unless it is obvious at modest sizes (i.e. full screen on my laptop) I do not usually bother looking for dust (at least with my Fuji kit, might have to on my older Canon ) They're not trivial reasons when it comes to propaganda during a conflict. Truth - the first casualty of war.
