  1. In the case of complex vector images is it OK to upload a separate Jpeg version? (assuming that potential illustration buyers do not search the vector category only for simple designs.)
  2. Is this genuine? http://petapixel.com/2015/11/18/reuters-issues-a-worldwide-ban-on-raw-photos/ if yes, then is Alamy likely to be following suit, particularly in the news uploads? I see little difference, except a possible drop in quality...you can `process' in jpeg too.
  3. Hello, I created some logos (from different movies) and I d like to know if its better to sell them as illustrations (JPEG) or as vectors (EPS) ? I am hesitating because I know that illustrations can be sold at a higher price than vectors. But maybe there are more buyers for vectors?? What do you think?
  4. Hi, I have recently attempted QC twice and been rejected for the following reason - soft due to size. I am struggling to understand this! I have checked the document size and all except any raw images are twice the size they should be. For example all my Jpegs are 110.75MB with dimensions of 7620 x 5080. Lightroom 5 was set for Prophoto and 16 bit. Is this the problem? If so how do I rectify it? I have tried using the originals as I still have most of the memory cards but the same thing keeps happening even though I have changed the settings to Adobe RGB and 8 bit. Most of my older images are JPEG of 20MB. I have no problem with Raw which comes out at about 68.7 MB. I have been told these should be ok. I would be grateful for any suggestions, Thanks, Linda
  5. Hi guys, I'm new to Alamy and trying to post some landscape pictures for a QC approval. One of the images is an unmodified OOC JPEG from my Fuji X-T1. To my surprise it got rejected due to "compression artefacts". It was shot at the "fine" setting, which is the best setting the camera offers. Could someone please help me to understand what is wrong and how to get better JPEGs out of the X-T1. Is this something Fuji should be aware of to improve their JPEG engine? The reason I'm shooting OOC JPEGs is the awesome film simulation feature Fuji has. Thanks a lot Petr
  6. Hi I just noticed the last couple of batches of files I have uploaded have the date field populated with the wrong date. The date on my camera is set correctly and both the RAW and converted JPEG files are showing the correct date in the properties in Windows Explorer. But when files clear QC and are ready to keyword the automatically filled DATE field always shows 31 12 2013. I am using Lightroom 5.3 for conversion from RAW to JPEG. I have looked through various dialogue boxes in Lightroom and as far as I am aware nothing is amiss with the export settings. Anyone else had this problem? Is it fixable somewhere in my workflow? thanks Chris
