Bryan
Good news. The pound has slipped to just below $1.5, and Alamy payout due early next month. Some small cause for wild celebration. Bad news, visiting family in NYC mid April, need currency for that.
John Mitchell
Same here in Canada, the loonie (Canadian dollar) has been diving with the price of oil. Currently, $1.00 USD = $1.26 CAN. Not that long ago, the Canadian dollar was worth more than its US counterpart. Not so good for Canadians travelling to the USA, though.

Duncan_Andison
The £-$ forecasts look promising throughout 2015 with the dollar strengthening against the pound..... for quite a while it was £0.60 per dollar but now is £0.67 and still improving. Makes a reasonable difference each month given most agencies deal in $'s Hopefully it heads back towards the £0.75 it reached a few years back
IDP
If you make a lot of sales in the US or in USD (indicated by round $ figures in sales report), then it is a good thing. However, if most of your licenses are in the UK and Europe, then you lose out when GBP or EUR are converted into USD. For example, last year, a £10 license would have shown as $17 on the sales report - today, it would show as $15. So, swings and roundabouts!
