Steve UK
How do you think this compares to the sony RX100 3, it seems to be 1cm bigger all round, and only 12 instead of 20 meg, I already use a Rx100 Mk1, but would like something with a viewfinder
Pearl
I had the RX100 mk1 and sold it as I wasn't happy with the IQ except in perfect conditions. I recently bought the LX100 but have only used it a few times such as on a recent skiing trip and whilst out walking (see recent images). The images passed QC and I am fairly happy with it. Obviously it doesn't compare to my Fuji X-T1 or Canon 5Diii but it is much nicer to use than the Sony RX100, in fact very similar to the Fuji in many ways. The lens is excellent but the file sizes are on the small side. Pearl
Steve UK
Yep small file seems to be one of the drawbacks, I am looking for something which is 'pocketable' with a viewfinder. RX100 is great but I do find a lot off the time I have to reduce the file size on that (in processing) to get good QC, WEX showroom is only round the corner from me so I will pop in and have a look. Ed Rooney
Can I assume you all are aware that the RX100-III has a viewfinder? http://www.dpreview.com/search/?query=RX100&product=sony_dscrx100m3 And the question of downsizing is an interesting one for those of us who were required in the past to upsize our files for Alamy.
