Bill Brooks
I would like to submit, to the main Alamy Stock site, some images shot and processed in the Stockimoto style using regular cameras and Photoshop . But the images, heavily altered in Photoshop, would probably fail Alamy QC. I understand the reasoning for a separate Stockimoto Brand, and I understand the reason for high quality for most Alamy Brand images. However I think the Alamy Brand may be missing an opportunity on some hot style images, with the present QC situation.
Guest
There's already plenty of 'Stockimo' style work on Alamy, search 'grunge' for example and you will see plenty of heavily manipulated images.
wiskerke
QC maybe more strict than ever, but a large enough file with plenty of sharpness in funny colors maybe with weird rounded corners will still sail through IMO. Why not just add the word Stockimo to your keywords? At one point it was the most searched keyword on AoA. Now it's in a joint 13th place. Better stick to cats and dogs doing a selfie. the current top 20 is: keyword - UCO dog 28london 23alamy 20edinburgh 20london skyline 19v 17iphone 16cat 16OFFICE 15Paris 15family 14facebook 14kale 13stockimo 13mobile phone 13airport security 12shopping 12selfie 12glasgow 12Rihanna 12 wim edi: typo
Bill Brooks
You guys are right. I am being too cautious with QC. I will start to submit Stockimoto style and quality? but only when the subject matter and treatment warrants it. In other words I will not use grunge as an excuse for low quality QC. Robert Brook
.... However I think the Alamy Brand may be missing an opportunity on some hot style images, with the present QC situation. Retro at best. 'Grunge' with photo selected (excluding illustrations and vectors) gives 718,454 results on Shutterstock alone, several hundred thousand more than the entire collections of some creative/cutting edge agencies I know of. Alamy
Don't add "Stockimo" as a keyword to non stockimo images. It would make it an irrelevant keyword and we will delete any non-stockimo images that have the keyword "stockimo" as it's misleading to customers. Stockimo is a brand for mobile phone imagery.
