Jill Morgan
Do you need a property release for a national flag? I notice lots of people sell the royalty free, but I know that doesn't mean that is correct. Jill
Niels Quist
Sometimes you do - sometimes you don't..... Different flags are not protected in the same way. You will have to examine for each flag. http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/xf-copy.html Micro sites more or less treat national flags alike and have not required a release for RF, but Alamy would like to have one for flags if sold as RF. I asked when I began uploading to Alamy.
Gruffydd
Who would you get to sign a property release for a national flag? Is it even possible?
Jill Morgan
I decided since it was a national flag, and so many were rf (although mine is rm) that I went with not needing a release. Jill
