Taking stock in Lowestoft

Recommended Posts

Okay, cheesy I know. Some might be interested, I completely understand if not.

Anyway, a new rather self-indulgent blog post -  a gallery of RAW files to browse through if you have a few moments.

I'll go through my workflow.

Keep them coming, Ian - it's all useful.

Thanks John. I wasn't sure what the reaction would be.

I hoped that at least it would regarded as inoffensive.

Hi Ian an interesting post.

Point of interest. I was in Lowestoft back in 2022 and spent a week touring the area. While there I did not see the "Walking men".  Have they been installed since 2022?

Thanks Allan, they were installed in June and are staying there until the end of August ( I think). Then they go to Holland.

Thank you for the information. There is no way I can see myself coming down to Lowestoft in the foreseeable future.

No need. I've got that subject covered 😄

I've had long day at the computer processing around 120 keepers. The weather wasn't up to much here today so I decided to press on.

Keywording tomorrow....oh joy! 🤑

Everything commendable Ian, insights not usually seen online. Well expressed and articulated.

Three decades ago I was commissioned to shoot Lowestoft as an attractive tourist destination. My beach huts shots were very good as were some images of shops in town. However, I didn’t get anything showing the appeal of your terraces and beach shots.

I know how challenging it can be in these kind of places!

IIUC, you made (146) exposures
& from that (120) keepers;
I say bravo, enjoy the future income !!
There is report of $4XXX.00 sale today.
(no not bloody me sadly)
May something similar result from this effort.
(100) $4X.XX sales would do.
As would (1000) $4.XX sales…
