cruise stock photography workflow -- communicating onboard large ship

Recommended Posts

me wifey me second set of eyes, often sees what I don't;
our first cruise together 7-nights soon;
ship has 3700+ capacity;
our cabin includes 150 Internet minutes,
that's 21 min/day approx;
Belize Honduras & at sea not in our phone plan;
any tricks for how we can inform each other where
we are when apart?  ship extra minutes are pricey...
we could Whats App or text for 30 sec on the hour
every hour but risk forgetting to disconnect...

whoops, high IQ wifey reports our cruise line forbids use on ship:
cross bows
drones
fresh cut flowers
WALKIE TALKIES
amongst other things...

the ship monetizes a lot of services compared to my
previous cruises 23+ years ago** so walkie talkie ban
is no surprise...
**those were all comped assignments

Have you considered walkie-talkies?  This pair on Amazon has a 6 mile range, so they say.  I used to use a pair of Motorola and they were great.

When I was a kid, I always wanted a Dick Tracey watch. Now it seems my dream is within reach. 🕵️‍♂️
