Jose Decio Molaro
According to my research and explorations in a specialized magazine: Founded in 1924, MG Car Company rose to fame four years later when it introduced the world to its lineage of fast, affordable sports cars. One of its greatest successes was the TD model, which represented a major step forward over its predecessor, the TC. The commitment of every MG has always been the pleasure of driving, even if it completely renounces comfort: the TC was a sports car, pure and hard, to the point of detaching fillings and causing herniated discs. Pain and pleasure in equal amounts. It was the first post-war MG, always keeping the steering wheel on the right side, the spoked wheels and the rigid front axle. Mr Standfast
Wipers on the bonnet instead of mounted on the windscreen "points" towards it being a replica. Bonnet mounting is later than the TD. This will be difficult to pin down, the kits were many and variable and the originals would have had 70 years of renovations and messing around. Identifying this will be fun, the forum will enjoy it! 🙂🙂🙂

All the details indeed point to it being a replica, such as bonnet/hood hinges, wiper placement, weird running board moulding etc etc. If it was an MG it would definitely have MG badging (even though some replicas do). Gorilla Dave
can't resist an old motor ! found this...https://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=265592 which icludes this pic... ... and this bit of history which might be relevent. https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/classic-roadsters-ltd-history/ so it sounds like your pic' is a MG TD replica - built to look like a 1952 MG TD - built on an old VW Beetle chassis. Mr Standfast
OK, if you look at the radiator grill you can see through it, therefore no radiator so very likely a replica or kit car based upon a vw beetle. Lots of underbonnet pics around showing radiator on an MG TD is a solid old lump. and yes those wings look fibreglass, look at the rear one, you can see through the the rear light lens.
