Jansos
Found this site, am sure there are many others, that allows you to upload an unedited file and it then processes the file to reveal the camera shutter count. Thought it might be useful: https://www.camerashuttercount.com/
spacecadet
I used to do this regularly, (with this one https://shuttertool.com/ , same result) but I was surprised to see I've taken 6000 images since the pandemic, considering I've only uploaded a few dozen. Must be all those garden flowers and random still-lives. Incidentally some of these tools used to double-count on a live view type camera, because the shutter has to close first, but they seem to count correctly now. I haven't used my DSLT since Christmas Day. Shocking. Edited January 19, 2023 by spacecadet
Steve F
Thanks, 18,811 with the mechanical shutter. Probably a few more than that because there is an electronic shutter you can use with the A7iii for silent shooting too. Apparently the A7iii is good for 200,000 actuations; should last longer than me then... 😆
