Bank charges

Hi,

I just wanted to make Alamy accounting aware that I had to pay 19,95€ bank charges for the payment which I received on October 14th (payment being just above the threshold since I am not a high volume seller). After some analysis I came to the conclusion, that I had to pay bank charges because you transferred from a British account. This was a first time charge and wasn't repeated with the payment I received on November 11th which you remitted from an Irish account.

So please make sure to always remit from EU accounts for EU citizen contributors, since the bank charges might burn up a significant part of the payment.

Thanks a lot, Andreas

When I had a Nicaraguan bank account and had Alamy pay into that, the bank took US$20 out for each transfer.   Something to consider for transferring funds.  A retired US citizen living in Mexico told me to keep my US account and all money goes into that now, SS and anything else.  But, yeah, contact contributors at alamy dot com.

It's standard quite everywhere when one does a SWIFT system transfer (usually used only for transferring from one country to another these days). I have charges on SWIFT transfers at 30USD and 25GBP per transfer. Its a hard pill to swallow but nothing to do with Alamy TBH, its the SWIFT system.
