many years ago I was a sales rep in a very different kind of business. We used to qualify for bonuses by manipulating impending sales a bit. We usually didn't earn much if any more but we got paid earlier and perhaps looked a little better by meeting targets. I'm pretty sure this kind of thing happened a bit at Tony Stone. Who can say about PA/Alamy?

 

Of course, the slight differential in prices would be accounted for by day-to-day currency fluctuations.
