Current cleared balance

Out of interest i was wondering if anyone understands why it takes so long to clear the balance. I've only sold just over $200 this year yet my cleared balance is only $7. Why does this take so long...

Cleared means the client has paid Alamy. When it says balance this is still awaiting payment from client.

You can email contributors@alamy.com about any sales that have not cleared after three months. I usually wait four months. Distributor sales tend to be very slow in clearing.

Yeh that's a good idea...many of the sales were last Christmas/January time, it's no biggie just seems strange knowing they are using your photos yet haven't paid.

it means Client as paid, and Alamy has held money  long enough for them to feel like releasing.  I find doubtful that no client pays under 45 days, yet this is the absolute minimum time for a payment to clear.  Interestingly as mentioned in another thread, negative charges, like affiliates amount, clear much faster.
