Alamy reports sales as soon as they have invoiced for them (before they get paid, and thusly before Alamy can pay you). Clients can take weeks or months to pay invoices sometimes.

 

It's just a different way of reporting. Some people prefer it.

and then Alamy waits 45 days until clearing, which seems odd since contributor are still on the hook in cases of reversals ever after clearing
