John Lennon photo up on Ebay

Recommended Posts

$20,100 now, I was thinking that it was an odd time to sell the originals along with the copyright before the 40th anniversary of Lennon's murder in December, but given the amounts they are going for perhaps not. It's certainly a different world to stock photography.

So the last frame (completely blank piece of film) went for £2,517.84 and the Mark Chapman frame went for just shy of £29,000, it went up by £10,000 in the last few seconds.

More to come tonight:

The blank piece of film bothered me slightly but I see I was mistaken, it's not blank, his flash failed to go off so there is a very faint image that they have recovered in Photoshop. It would have been quite a decent portrait by the looks of it.
