Stu 38 Posted October 26, 2013 (edited) Can anyone ID this plant for me please. To me they look like dried flower heads, sort of curled up on themselves. Taken last month at marshes on the Norfolk coast, England. Thanks in advance. Stuart. Wow, the pics are small now aren't they! Tim Gainey 203 Posted October 26, 2013 Stuart Could be "Daucus carota" Wild carrot…….In winter this has all the charactoristics of curling in on its self. But from such a small picture, its hard to tell. Tim
Stu 38 Posted October 26, 2013 Thanks Tim. I will check that out. I'm sure the pics posted here used to be bigger.
NYCat 1,590 Posted October 26, 2013 Maybe this will be helpful. I have only posted pics that are on Alamy and I have found I have to copy the url of the zoomed version. When I have inadvertently just done the thumbnail it turns out small. Paulette
wiskerke 2,649 Posted October 26, 2013 Just open it in the pricing or preview window; then drag it to the Reply to this topic box. like this. Which umbelliferous plant this is, I have no idea. Maybe do a search for autumn seedhead umbelliferous Norfolk? First impression: wild carrot. wim
