M.Chapman
Is anyone else noticing that Alamy search results seem to be getting slower and slower? I've got fast fibre broadband, but recently I've noticed that it sometimes takes 15 seconds (or longer) for Alamy to respond to a search request. Are Alamy's servers starting to struggle under the increasing demands of 100,000 images added every day and more customers? A blank screen for 15 seconds is not a good way to encourage customers. Is it time for an image cull? e.g. automated removal of exact duplicates?? Mark
John Mitchell
Can't say that I've noticed that the search function is getting any slower. I don't have a super-fast connection, and search results usually come up almost instantly. Perhaps it depends on what you're searching for (obscure searches might take longer) and even where you're searching from.
Craig Yates
No, pretty fast for me. On virgin fibre broadband. Craig
