Kat
Would anyone be able please to help me identify what type of Rhododendron plant this is?
John Richmond
Looking at the shape of the leaves and the way the flowers droop in the truss I'd say it's either Rhododendron williamsianum or Rh.orbiculare or a hybrid with one or both of those species blood in there. There are quite a few of these hybrids around and I can't be more specific from that photo.

I will look into the hybrid versions to find out more about it.
