L33
Hi I am new to this and new to photography. I only have a Canon Powershot SX60 and was wondering if this is capable of creating photos good enough for Alamy. If so any tips on settings greatly appreciated. Robert
Probably not. From Amateur Photographic review: "Image quality ... [is] fine if you look at the picture as a whole, but doesn’t stand up to close examination of the pixels."
Colin Woods
and 'close examination of the pixels' is exactly what QC will do. You don't have to go bankrupt buying the latest 42MP camera. The market is awash with used models as people upgrade chasing the elusive perfect camera. You can get a used entry level DSLR from a few years back and you are in business. And, as in all other businesses, if you want to get on board you have to invest some money.
Joseph Clemson
There was a similar question some months ago, which you will find here. I like using the Powershot SX range of cameras for fun and family snapshots, but because of the tiny image sensor, it is not up to producing images to the standard Alamy require.
