Alexa website traffic ranking

I know that these numbers are not saying everything but it is interesting to see that according to Alexa Alamy has more traffic on their website then Corbis do. Corbis has rank 18670 while Alamy shows 15778 and the value is growing in the last couple of months. Looks like a good number to me.

This ranks sites for people who have installed the extension, that's hardly a real measure of traffic, especially to 'professional user' sites. Any one here have the Alexa tool bar?? The biggest micro is ranked between 250-350 IIRC for last 12 months...... that's not about size of traffic but also the user profile.

 

If you look at the AD surveys, especially US-based, you'll see who has the traffic.

One obvious conclusion based on this data is that most buyer's budgets are too limited for them to even consider using Corbis (or Getty), unless they buy subscription packages.  So it is less about numbers and more about budgets.
