John Walker
I have been using a Mk1 Sony RX100 for some time now with great success. I suits the way I work and for both stills and video. It's had a fair bit of use now and I plan to replace soon. For me, there is only one minus - the lens can be a tad softer at the edges than I would like. Has anyone used both cameras and if so how do you find the lens performance on the Mk3 compared to the Mk1? John
Allan Bell
John I use mkI myself but not tried mkIII so can't help on that point but wondered if you know that mkIII has shorter zoom on lens? Allan
John Walker
Thanks Allan Yes I had seen the specs. The shorter zoom is fine for me. From a couple of reviews I've read it would appear that the new lens is an improvement over the Mk1. I wondered if this is born out in practice. There are two other improvements which appear - one is the tilt back and of course the viewfinder. Regards John
