Colin Woods
Hi All I have had a failure in my note taking and I can't remember what this thing is or does. Any ideas? It is in a spice plantation in Goa in India. It has the look of a distillation apparatus to me. Does anyone know what it is. Thanks in advance Col
Rawdon Wyatt
Hi Colin It looks like a still for making feni, a typically Goan toddy distilled from cashew or coconut. Hope this helps. Rawdon

Niels Quist
According to a photo description on a microstock site starting with shut: "It is device for production goa's alcohol drink feni. The raw are cashew and coconut." There is a nearly identical photo.... I won't link to it here But easy to identify from other sites: http://www.goadirectory.org/feni-drink.html
Colin Woods
Thanks for that, that's exactly what it is. I found a few similar on a quick interworld search. For me, I score D- on record keeping for that one. Cheers Col
