Allan Bell
Wondered if there was an Alamy plugin for COP7. Googled but could not find. May have missed something. Does anyone know of an Alamy plugin for COP7? Allan
Zigzagmtart
The only plugin I have heard mentioned is the one for Lightroom.

Does anyone know of an Alamy plugin for COP7? Allan I don't think there is one but, I don't really find the need for one either with C1. You can drag the keywords into any position you want in C1 so you can order the most important first (essential), then main and the rest. I do this prior to upload to Alamy then copy and paste into each box. Once they have been passed off, it normally only takes an hour to sort out a couple of hundred images or more. It also means I can upload the images to other agencies and the keywords don't need amending. There are one or two other places that like the keywords ranked. The one thing that annoys me though with C1 in terms of keywording, is that dammed auto complete!!! It's useless. I type my keywords in the iMac text editor and paste them over to C1 and rank them from there.
Martin P Wilson
I use C1 but add keywords and other metadata with PhotoMechanic as it is so much better, more convenient. Got into the habit when C1 did not really support metadata.

Thanks Martin but after forking out for C1P7 (tee hee) I am not inclined to pay for Photo Mechanic to do something that C1P7 is supposed to do. I will just have to buckle down to it and learn to use it correctly instead of looking for an easy option. Allan
Martin P Wilson
I understand Allan; Phase One have blown hot and cold over the years on metadata; support has come on gone in previous versions so I switched to LR for a while but still with PhotoMechanic. Phase One think like studio photographers (they do make medium format backs after all) and from my exchanges with them over the years they have not really understood the need for metadata! They are really useful.... one of them covers questions for people coming from LR to C1 . That said, I'm still finding new things it can do all the time. I love the Recipie system for exporting files, very powerful..... and then there is the keystone tool.... very clever! Since moving to them I have stopped using a catalogue system (sort of). I prefer using their Sessions system while working on the images and then once all images are processed, I import the session into a catalogue. This keeps everything very fast when working on the images. When you import a session into a catalogue, it also imports all the changes made. Yes I have looked at their tutorials, well a few so far, and some on you tube. I am not keen on the catalogue system they have preferring to use my own system so will use sessions. I did see somewhere that it is possible to export processed RAWs with changes embedded within the file, so you don't end up with a load of sidecar files as well, but can't find the info how to do it now. Thanks for the help. Allan
