geogphotos
1978 and this is the Webequie village, a Ojibway community living on the northern peninsula of Eastwood Island, Ontario, Canada "Webequie First Nation is located on the northern peninsula of Eastwood Island on Winisk Lake, 540 km north of Thunder Bay in Ontario, Canada. Webequie is a fly-in community with no summer road access" Any suggestions what these wooden posts are about - something to do with foundations for a building, laying out/drying/ processing furs, some sort of symbolism? Thanks for looking Edited March 14 by geogphotos

geogphotos
Here is the Webequie website. http://www.webequie.ca I've a feeling that those posts are just the base for a shed. But it makes you wonder why the photographer took the pic if it was something so mundane.
