Ros Drinkwater
Can anyone tell me how to change multiple 60 megabite images to 1 megabite in one go, as opposed to doing them all one by one?

Martin P Wilson
If you have a full version of Photoshop (not Elements) go to File>Automate>Batch You can then create a batch script to open the file, resize it and then save it in another folder. Basically you record the manual process you would use to do it on a single copy and set a couple of parameters in connection with open and save to make it cycle through all files in a folder. In Lightroom, Capture 1 Pro or PhotoMechanic you can select the images and then export them to your new spec and it will just do it. Make sure you save to a separate folder (but they shouldn't overwrite anyway, they add a character to the name).
Johnnie5
I believe it might be easier if you start out in Adobe bridge, Select all the photos to be processed then go to the tools menu select photoshop then image processor. Because every photo is different you won't be able to get exactly 1 MB but with some expermenting you can get them close. The photos with more detail and colors will be more MB's those with less detail as in lots of blue sky will be smaller so you may want to group them that way when you make you selection. You can add or subtract from your selection in Bridge by momentarily holding down the Ctrl key and click the file with your mouse. On a Mac its command click. Shift Click for a contiguous group of files.
