Thanks very much. There's a lot of this growing in my neighbourhood. Interesting plant, especially the intricate structure of the cranberry- coloured berries (I guess I shouldn't refer to them as blooms or flowers).

Those are the flowers, John.  Still in bud n your image but they develop to this:
