I have just had a couple of sales where it states in my Account Balance: Alamy Commission 38.5%, Affiliate Commission 23%.  I have never heard of the latter, so is this a new thing and if so, who are these 'affiliates' or is it the old 'Distributor Commission' under a different name and new terms (I am hoping so since the terms are better for us!).

Alamy is taking 38.5% commission on these sales through alamy.com, despite the contract wording that states 50% (leaving 50% to contributor, see commission table). The 23% is 20% to the affiliate website, and 3% to Rakuten, who did not participate in this sale other than to provide the "creative" (link that drove the traffic to Alamy) and tracking, I suppose. The last time this was raised it was said that the contract would be updated to clarify this, but that was months ago.
