Gervais Montacute
Files too large. How do you upload panoramas? I keep getting that message come up. I do the usual things in Elements on resizing but panoramas don't seem to want to download.
Ed Endicott
That's strange. How large is too large? My largest panorama here on Alamy is 18,214 x 2,575 for a file size of 134.2 MB
OneWay
If I remember, Alamy wants a compressed jpeg size less that 24 mb. You might try saving your image for uploading at Jpeg level 10 rather than at higher resolutions. Dave
Vincent Lowe
As Dave says, I save them at level 11 or 10 if they are too large at 12. Try running them through AlamySizeCheck before trying to upload. It will flag up any oversized images - http://www.braeside.plus.com/photography/alamy/alamy.html Alamy wants a compressed jpeg size less that 24 mb. Not sure they specify a compressed size (I could be wrong), but they do specify uncompressed sizes.... Minimum uncompressed file size of 24MB. Maximum uncompressed file size of 200MB. on this page.... http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/image-submission-checklist.asp The SizeCheck software will show you both the compressed and uncompressed sizes.
