If I remember, Alamy wants a compressed jpeg size less that 24 mb. You might try saving your image for uploading at Jpeg level 10 rather than at higher resolutions.

As Dave says, I save them at level 11 or 10 if they are too large at 12.  Try running them through AlamySizeCheck before trying to upload.  It will flag up any oversized images -

Not sure they specify a compressed size (I could be wrong), but they do specify uncompressed sizes....

 

Minimum uncompressed file size of 24MB.

Maximum uncompressed file size of 200MB.

The SizeCheck software will show you both the compressed and uncompressed sizes.
