Kumar
I and some of my friends often see the following image (especially its smaller versions or even thumbnails) of the Demoiselle Cranes (Anthropoides virgo) as somewhat of a 3D engraving/etching, rather than as a routine, flat, 2D rendition. I wonder why ?? Cheers,Kumar, India
Niels Quist
I saw it as an engraving when first looking. Looking away and looking again, I saw the cranes. Now I cannot se the engraving any longer, only the cranes Edited: This morning I saw the 3D engravings again at first glimpse -and had to watch for abt. 20 seconds to see the cranes. A good and more modern example of figure–ground organization
