SShep
Any one know the name of this sheep? (I'm thinking breed, rather than Flossie). Photographed on a hillside on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Thanks for any help. Steve

Martin P Wilson
That reminds me of a story … It’s the first day at school for little Tommy, the shepherds son. The teacher is keen to get all the new children involved so she goes round the class getting them to identify the animals on the farm scene mural on the wall. They all get them right “moo cow”, doggy”, “piggy” and she gets to Tommy, points to the sheep and asks him what it is. He frowns and looks puzzled – she's surprised but encourages him "Surely Tommy you know what this is, you dad has a lot of them". “Well,” says Tommy hesitantly “it could be a Swaledale I suppose”. SShep
Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to have to invest in a sheep recognition book or change my name Steve
