Mucky lens

Recommended Posts

I'm generally very impressed with my little Sony RX1000 V but the cover that automatically closes over the lens on shut down means that you can't see the state of the optics. Out of sight out of mind. You need to switch on and take a look. Obvious I know, but I've been caught out a few times by images lacking contrast and sharpness due to grease on the glass.

I need to get into the habit of peering at the lens before a day's shooting.

Surprise it by pulling the battery when it's still switched on. Maybe take the memory card out first lol.
