geogphotos
The introduction of an improved system was mentioned in the Alamy Xmas video. It was stated that this would be implemented in the New Year. Could we please have an update on this? I have been reporting quite a few potential infringements and want to thank Alamy staff for being so helpful and efficient in responding. But the system itself does need to be developed. Often you are left hanging. You have been told that somebody is going to look into it but are not really sure what is happening or how it is progressing, the time-scale, and so on. There does need to be a tracking system with a reference for each case. I can appreciate that this is quite a complex development and am not expecting to be told about a finished solution - just an update on where we are please. This could be a good earner for Alamy and its contributors. I am amazed at how much image theft goes on especially after an un-watermarked image is used on a news site such as the BBC. If people were made to learn the hard way about copyright, and the word spreads, then that has to be good for all of us. shearwater
+1 supporting the request. A tracking system with ticket numbers are mandatory. Tracking emails with CR back and forward could become a real mess. It has to be a win-win tool for Alamy (specially CR staff) and we contributors. 1
