Sales and CTR query

Jansos

Question

Am I correct in saying that CTR is not necessarily influenced by sales? The reason I ask is that I had a nice bunch of sales pop up recently but my CTR is still on a downward trend and I'm surprised the sales (presumably clicked on at some stage) have not compensated a little.

I believe that is correct. CTR is purely as described by Alamy - views and clicks etc. There is speculation that the overall number of your sales / if an image has ever sold, might help where your images appear in searches.
