losdemas
Anybody signed up to this, (Picture Licensing Universal System), either as an individual or via another a third party (agency or other)? Any thoughts? Pluses ('scuse the pun) or minuses? Seems free to join/register at present, but how will this pan out in the future? Are there likely to be any conflicts of interest if an agency chooses to sign up on your behalf, prior to you taking the initiative? Interested to hear your thoughts. Travelshots
I dont think agencies have the right to sign up"on your behalf". I have signed up to give support and see how things go. I dont think its going to improve my sales though !
DavidC
A basic flaw seems to be that the IPTC information is automatically compromised by Agencies/Libraries who delete the original copyright field and insert their own - e.g. Alamy/contributor - is this another US attempt to complicate the © jungle - or a real attempt at protection ?
