Chris Webb
Hi folks.... The enemy of the camera, the road, claimed another victim. The aperture button on the body of my trusty D90 is now faulty and I am taking it to repair. Maybe they can fix it for a relatively reasonable fee but I also see that I can buy a new body for a reasonable cost which may be the better option. Now my nimble fingers see that I can buy a D3200 for the same price, get more pixels but the beginner tag really floors me. Now I am really confused... Will the D3200 be able to hold my weighty 18-200 zoom? As far using my camera for stock, I haven't uploaded for a long time and what is there is ticking over sales. I am not sure I will use the camera for stock but I got so used to always shooting to meet alamy QC I would be loathed to shoot anything less. all the best Christine
Ed Rooney
The 18-200 is not a very heavy zoom, Christine. I don't imagine it would be a problem. I still like my D90, too. Have you considered looking for a used one on eBay?
Chris Webb
Hi Ed... The D90 is going quite cheap new so I am considering that or for the same price the D3200. It's just on all the promotional blurb it has the D3200 as an entry level but when I read all the reviews and comparrisons it looks pretty good and very tempting. It is also very light which being a bit of an old gal, has its appeal. But it may just be a bit of plastic. cheers Christine
