On Sight Photographic
Forgive me if I sound a bit dense - I'm not very technical! I'm just about to submit my 1st 4 pics for QC but am confused about the white point/black point parameters in the submission guidelines. BP should be under 12 and WP 243 (or ideally within 5% of 0 and 255). Some of the photos I was considering for submission seem to be well exposed for their subjects, but due to the subjects containing black or white areas, they are not within these parameters. Does this mean Alamy never accepts any photos containing dark or white colours? Or am I getting confused?

spacecadet
I have never adjusted levels and only once had a failure under this heading. The image was very flat and I could have improved it, but it also failed on SoLD. Very few images shot under normal conditions will need attention. Auto tone in Lightroom (formerly auto contrast in PS) works for me. If the image is deliberately high or low key, QC know what that means.
