David Hewison
I'm a little confused and hope to get some insight if possible. I have read all over the place that at some point, Alamy may offer a contributor a unique Live News FPT account. I know we all, or at least most of us have Live News Web Upload and I've used that recently. However I was looking to upload more news shots today and jumped into my normal FTP account that's available to all of us, looking at the folder list, there is a live news folder - so i uploaded to it and there they all were.. up within 10 minutes in the live news feed. So my question is, if you can upload live news via your normal ftp account - why do alamy invite you to use a special ftp account for live news? Whats the difference? Niels Quist
May be because some of us had an old server ftp address for news upload which wouldn't work after the change where you just need to upload to the correct container.
