Refund?

I have just had a refund taken from my balance for a picture purchased nearly 2 years ago.  Why would this be the case?  Surely if the buyer did not want the picture or there was some issue, any refund should have been requested much earlier?

The only thing I can think of is that Alamy may have chased payment with no luck. Some businesses fail and few creditors get paid. 
I agree 2 years is beyond the pale. If Alamy is chasing payment, I would think under a year would be long enough to know it’s not working. I, for one, think when a product has been downloaded for use, anything over XX amount of time Alamy should eat the loss. It might get that department a bit more on the ball.

It’s a shame I don’t make the rules!
