isphoto
I just noticed this sale pop up and it prompts a question: "Usage: Commercial electronic, Websites, apps, social media and blogs (excludes advertising)" Surely social media (Facebook, blogs and others etc) are advertising vehicles, their sole remit is to sell advertising, therefore by allowing social media and blogs is it not contradictory when attached to an "excludes advertising" clause and how can it ever be policed? And importantly who protects us the copyright holders where non property released images are sold for social media and therefore advertising. Keith Douglas
I don't think blogs and Facebook are advertising vehicles any more than newspapers, magazines or TV Channels are. They all provide content for various reasons - information, education, entertainment etc. and use advertising to generate their income and pay their bills. The difference with Facebook is that they've successfully managed to shift the content generation onto their users!
