bendotslater
Hi, I'm relatively new on Alamy and have just started engaging with the site more. I recognise that time is everyone's most precious resource (not to mention that we are technically competing with each other really) so any pointers would be greatly appreciated. https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/benjaminjslater Thanks all and good luck. Welcome. Lots of deep shadows (eg. RD59HA, RDN79X, PG7HKT), suggest learning how to open up shadows in Lightroom or Photoshop or shoot from different position or time of day Horizons should generally be levelled (e.g. RBH99E) or significantly out for artistic effect Take a look at the results from Alamy searches for some of your subjects to see what the competition is, e.g. try a search for Greenland Dock. The images that appear first will typically be from Alamy's best contributors or images of that subject that have been zoomed. Then ask yourself, which image do you prefer, theirs or yours?
