image types photographs cut outs

In the main search, if I tick both photographs and "cut outs", I do not get just cutouts. I'd expect to get photographs that were cut outs.

 

 

OK I get it. I get photographs and cut outs. I expected  individual images that were (photos AND cut outs). Has this changed? It seems counter-intuitive.

 

 

 

Not very clear.

 

I was searching a particular subject to see what Alamy had. I clicked "photographs" to eliminated illustrations. I then clicked "cut outs" because I wanted to see photos that were also cut outs but what I got was the same as if I had just clicked photos.

 

 

I'm sure the logic used to be AND it now appears to be OR.
