Using FileZilla, storing user and pass - not manually entering each time - started getting 530 error (login authentication failed) back on 6/12 or 6/13.
CR fixed the problem in the first round, error appeared again 6/21. Suggested solution this time: Password reset, which seemed odd, and didn't fix the matter. Still seeing 503.
Anyone else running into a known good user/pass pair throwing a 503 in FTP despite working on the web side of things?.
