Once again I have to display my appalling lack of knowledge of flora. Someone suggested to me that this is alstibe, but I’m not sure it looks the same. Can anyone help? Common coastal wildflower.

The pink one at the front looks like Red Valerian, centranthus ruber, we have a lot around the Irish coast here in West Cork. I may be wrong its a bit blured.

Andy.

Both Centranthus ruber.  You've got the red and pink forms.  There's also a white form.

That stuff is as common as much around me as well - I had to google it a couple of weeks ago for shots I was putting on Flickr

It's growing out of our patio.

I may pull it up when it's done flowering. Could be a pic in it.

Any idea? A tree outside Corsham Court, Wiltshire recently.

Think I have found this one.

Catalpa bignonioides 'Aurea'

Hi Geogphotos,

Could be Sea lavender (Limonium vulgare), but I'm no expert
