June challenge - national parks scenery (pure nature)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

First, I wish to thank Colin for the last challenge!

This month, I would like to see pictures of our beautiful national parks landscapes. But only "pure nature" images, meaning by that no human interaction visible in the images (no human, human construction, signpost, road, vehicle or anything like that). Only footprints accepted ;). Each member may submit up to 3 pictures, the images must be available on Alamy. The challenge will end on 30th June @ midnight (Paris time). Below 3 examples.

Designated national parks only?

Well, we can extend to State parks and Biosphere reserves if that is what you mean.

There are so many kinds of "protected areas" depending on the country that I have to restrict in some way…

National parks seemed to be the most common worldwide designation.

I think that you want mostly scenery but animals? No animals?

As many animals as you want Paulette!

As long as they do not belong to the Homo sapiens species of course…

But the pictures must show their environment, the landscape surrounding them, so no close up shot.

Primates OK, up to but not including genus Homo.

We definitely want some of your leopards.

My leopards don't include much scenery but I'm sure I can find many "animal in the environment" shots. Nice topic for me.

Just a thought, but you have lots of signs of human habitation there- I don't know how strict Olivier is going to be about that.

Very strict. It is in his rules for the comp.

I redid these images from the Image Manager because drag and drop from the preview page was distorting them.
