When I began and knew only what I gleaned from a book I bought about stock, the forum had a handful of people who flamed everyone who asked newbe questions. I saw how it went and was terrified to ask anything. As a result, I didn’t understand what made a good stock image, or how to caption or keyword well. It’s no wonder my sales were few and far between. Alamy, in all of their wisdom shut down the forum. Reopened again, and everyone started anew. Except the worst offenders, whom I believe were weeded out. I have learned so much from these good people since.
