cyclic activity....

Recommended Posts

How to explain the cyclic activity of Alamy: a month a lot of sales and a lot of customer views and click activity, another month full of calm ....? Thanks.

The 24 thousand dollar question. When you figure it out, tell me. ;)

Yes, cyclic activity, like CTR, is one of the unsolved mysteries of the Alamy universe. I often have a not-so-good month following a good month and vice versa. I imagine that accounting lags have something to do with sales ups and downs, but they don't explain variations in customer activity.

The trouble with cyclic activity is those periods where it feels like the wheels have fallen off

Me too Betty but it's early days. Good things come to those who wait. I hope! ;)

I'm still patiently waiting for a set of wheels.  :)

My first one of the year wheeled in today. It was zoomed a few weeks ago, so perhaps the buyer was waiting for the new year and a new budget.

Appear to have used up all of my customers' goodwill in December.

New Year's resolution, don't check for sales at every opportunity - it won't last.

Wheels starting to turn alright my CTR has jumped from 0.39 to 3.50 today with similar number of views as for last few days.

Don't worry my CTR is usually around 0.39 to 0.50 with the occasional 1.00.
