anna182016 23
Hello fellow Alamy members and photographer. Is anyone know if samsung galaxy s8+ is acceptable in Alamy submission? I remember that i submit 2 of my photos from my phone and got accepted, the second time around got rejected. Should I upload photos from my phone or should I use Nikon D90 because for me it's more easier to use the phone. What do you think? Is anybody here using Phone or just DSLR? Robert M Estall 337
No, only iPhones, a few have managed to upload from iPads. Alamy has said they may develop an app for other smartphone platforms but that has been the situation for quite a long time Nice phone you have and I gather it has a good camera, but you may have a long wait to use it for Alamy. Ambrosiniv 22
Hi Anna, yes, it should be. I have submitted photos using Samsung S7 and all have been accepted. It will depend on the actual photo (lighting, sharpness, focus, etc) for it to fail. Regards Victor
Betty LaRue 3,256
What are we talking about here?? Using a cell phone for Alamy? What rock was I hiding under when this edict was handed down? iPhones for S******o last I heard, or using Android through an i device. And you need to go to that site to discuss it. Alamy prefers, well....insists upon it. Sorry...am I wrong? https://www.stockimo.com/ Betty Edited October 14, 2017 by Betty LaRue

Sultanpepa 1,003
As far as I know Betty and Jill are right. If you have a fantastic news image taken on a phone then I'm sure the Alamy news team would be happy to have it. Otherwise S******o is the route to go.
Bill Brooks 1,361
A year ago there was a Alamy forum member who was using a Galaxy S6 cellphone for Alamy general stock photography, (not news). The images were passing QC at Alamy, and also at other stock agencies. So it is possible, but you would probably really have to know how to process the images later.
