Have you seen the comment?

The photo isn't Wester Flisk or any of the foetidus, I think. If it is, it shouldn't be because the photo looks like any old hellebore.

The comment is right, I have one in the garden and it looks totally different.

We need a tool to somehow keep this dumb mistakes at bay. This is from Dorling Kindersley a big and reputable publishing house with 16,000 images with Alamy.

So agencies are not immune.

Indeed! Looks like Hellborus orientalis to me.

Quite a few topics about wrong captions in this forum recently, but ..... they all fall on deaf ears

Cheers,

Philippe

Wim and Philippe,

Couldn't agree more with your comments. I often find plants that are wrongly named.

When posting picture finds I usually just copy and paste picture titles given by the photographer.

I just found several food-related images by alamy photographers on this web site dated December 29, 2016:

https://meduza.io/feature/2016/12/29/kak-prigotovit-nesovetskie-novogodnie-blyuda

and repeated on this one:

The photographers include:

Design Pics Inc

Skye Hohmann Food Photography

Vinicef

Zoonar GmbH

QxQ images

Johner Images

All of these are noted as alamy/Vida Press so presumably through that distributor.
